Bobby Shmurda, a New York native, has released a new tune called "Shmoney." Bobby's planned debut studio album is slated to include the single, which was released on December 17, 2021.

Rowdy Rebel, a fellow GS9 rapper and long-time buddy, and Quavo, a fellow Migos member and long-time friend, appear on the single. The three rap about their opulent lifestyles of smashing down opps, women, and money, which is produced by Tay Keith.

Bobby, Quavo, and Rowdy initially previewed it on November 13, 2021, while filming the music video for the song. Quavo's verse is shown in the earliest known excerpt. Bobby teased the official music video on his Instagram page the same day, previewing the track's chorus.

Bobby teased the track once again on his Instagram page on November 16, 2021, releasing more of the music video. Finally, Bobby announced on Instagram on December 16, 2021 that the song would be released on December 17, saying:
